The well proportionated, elegant body of the Maserati GranTurismo is inspired by the Pininfarina Birdcage 75th concept car. Designed for daily driving as well as longer journeys, the Maserati GranTurismo comfortably fits four adults allowing all the passengers to fully appreciate the pleasure of the live on board. The Skyhook system is standard in the Maserati GranTurismo S Automatic. The Skyhook damping system featured onboard adjusts automatically according to the road conditions and integrates with Maserati Stability Program safety system as well as with the car automatic transmission. This allows the GranTurismo S to easily adapt to the characteristics of each driver. So, what exactly about the looks of the GranTurismo keeps me searching the used Maserati dealerships in the hope that one will come up cheap? Well, I shall start with the really distinctive sloping nose, which instantly makes this Maserati match other supercars and sportscars in terms of looks and low down gravity friendly stature. I also love the fact that despite my generally dislike for any cars which are advertised in white, I still liked the GranTurismo, which is really saying something impressive - in fact, I would happily own it in white, which is going a whole step further!

Maserati Company has offered its new model of GranTurismo S at Geneva Motor Show in 2008. The new S version is equipped with a 4.7 liter V8 engine, which offers up to 440 hp of performance output. This car accelerates up to 62 mph in just 4.9 seconds. The top speed of the vehicle is expected to be 183 mph. Hence, the 2010 S version is well advanced in terms of features and performances in comparison to its predecessor models.

The company had also launched a new model under the label GranTurismo S MC Sport Line at the 2008 Bologna Motor Show. Moreover, while a brand new restyled GranTurismo S Automatic model was launched at the 2009 Geneva Auto Show this year.
