F-Type Jaguar

The F-Type has three engine options, a 3-liter supercharged V6 in 340hp and 380hp states of tune and the 5-liter supercharged V8 in the Jaguar F-Type V8 S with 495hp and 460 ft-lbs of torque. All are equipped with the new Intelligent Stop/Start system. The 340hp V6 model can accelerate from 0-100km/h in 5.3 seconds . The 380hp S model lowers that to 4.9 seconds, and the V8 S will do that in 4.2 seconds. Electronically limited top speeds are 260 km/h, 275 km/h and 300 km/h, respectively, for the V6, V6 S and V8 S models. The new F-Type is all aluminum construction, including all-aluminum double wishbone front and rear suspensions, which helps endow the F-Type with an ideal balance. The new structural alloys used in the F-Type construction results in high rigidity. The new Jag also has an eight-speed 'Quickshift' automatic transmission.  Ahead of its official debut at the Paris Motor Show, images of the sexy, sleek new 2013 Jaguar F-Type have spilled onto the Web. The new Boxster-fighter looks very similar to the C-X16 Concept that debuted at the 2011 Frankfurt Motor Show, and boasts the same curves you’d expect to see in a Jag. It’s expected that the F-Type will be offered with multiple engine options, including a V6 and a V8. The production-ready model will feature a center-mounted exhaust and a more conventional quadruple-outlet configuration, depending on the powerplant. Inside, the new F-Type will use a conventional gearshift lever with the automatic transmission rather than the round dial selector used on all other current Jaguar models. The F-Type’s unveiling is just around the corner. In the meantime, enjoy the images below as well as videos of the camouflaged version hitting the track.

Pre 2011 cars also suffered from breakdown of other plastic cooling system parts. These relate to the thermostat housing rising out of the block and the bridge pipe linking the cylinder heads on naturally aspirated cars (the XKR has an alloy pipe). The thermostat housings are now available in alloy and we hope that the bridge pipe will follow. The Jaguar Part number for the water pump is - AJ8008912 and all later water pumps supersede to this part number.

"The most important message is in the headline - you can have now your own "Home Gas Station" while you have electricity bills paid. We have the technology to survive the Oil Shock and it will be soon on our roads in numbers."

To celebrate the big 7-5, Jaguar has rolled out its XJ220-inspired 780-horsepower C-X75 RE-EV (range-extended electric vehicle) concept. Power for this looker is supplied by electric motors working in conjunction with "micro gas-turbines", which also throw in 1180 lb-ft / 1,600 Nm of torque. Jaguar claims the 6-hour-to-charge plug-in sports car has a range of 560 / 900 km miles and an Lithium-ion-only range of 68 miles with a "potential top speed" of 205 mph (330 km/h).

The new design seems to have worked as the car has been getting many rave reviews from car websites and magazines; the design is very unique and can't be mistaken for another car. The interior design is very contemporary with a very user friendly layout and ease of use in mind. The entire interior is covered by leather including the seats, the dashboard, the center console and even the door panels. Because of all this soft material and extra sound dampening materials, the Jag's interior is extremely quiet and luxurious. The car comes with a 600 watt Bowers & Wilkins sound system and can hold up to 10 gigabytes of music on the hard-drive. The sound system is controlled through an eight inch touch screen LCD display which also controls the climate and the message seats. The same screen also acts as the navigation screen and can be used as a screen to watch movies (currently only available in the European models) and displays images from the rear view camera when in reverse gear.

This vehicle has been loaded to the brim with a large variety of features to keep occupants safe. Standard features include an ABS brake system and front and side air bags. The interior was designed just as impeccably as the exterior with leather crafted seats and leather upholstered door panels. There is no doubt about it; the interior looks and feels as if it definitely belongs in a $80k car. The standard audio system puts out 600 watts of quality sound. You have the option to upgrade to a 20 speaker audio system manufactured by Bowers & Wilkens which puts out an incredible 1200 watts of sound. Even at fast speeds the interior remains quiet due to double glazed windows. This vehicle handles curves excellently.

On the exterior the Jaguar XJ has a very sleek and sporty look to it; the rear window is sloped like a sports car. It makes the car look good but it makes it very difficult to look out the back window when reversing, the reverse camera and parking sensors come in very handy.

Cosmetic changes were also made. The glass line has been altered and extended with the rear sloping down to meet the trunk. The roof looks much lower almost like the car has been chopped. The Jaguar looks like it has one unbroken large piece of tinted side glass.

Two different engines are used to power Jaguar's XJ sedan for 2010: a 5.0 liter AJ V8 naturally aspirated engine is installed in the base and XJL models, and a 5.0 liter V8 S engine in the XJ Supercharged, XJ Supersport, XJL Supercharged, and XJL Supersport. The standard 5.0 liter engine powers the car with a maximum of 385 horsepower at a rated 6,500 rpm. Four valves per cylinder torque deliver 380 foot pounds maximum at 3,500 rpm. The compression ratio for XJ's base engine is 11.5 to 1. Direct injection gives the engine plenty of power driving it to its top speed of 121 mph. The XJ with this engine is rated at 19 combined miles per gallon (16 mpg city, 23 mpg highway) and the XJL with this engine gets 15 mpg city and 21 mpg highway for a combined rating of 18.

As you would expect from Jaguar, plenty of safety precautions are in place. There are active head restraints which protect the head and neck during impact plus an air bag system. Other safety precautions include ABS and Traction and Stability control. The upper level trims are available with an optional blind spot warning mechanism.

What we know about this jaguar that's due out in March is that while it uses the old S-Type bases and suspension from the XK coupe, what it looks like is entirely different. It takes on a sportier more than luxurious look although it doesn't give up too much as it still looks like a million dollars. It will definitely be a head turner for a much younger market, but this doesn't mean it will alienate the Jaguar's dedicated market as it still retains the class that Jag is known for; this is especially true if you manage to get one of these car lease specials in a dark color, like black.

The contemporary theme continues on the interior of the auto, with out-of-this world gadgets such as a start button that flashes red and pulses when you start the engine plus a rotary shift dial which magically emerges right into your hand. The navigation system, music and temperature can all be conveniently controlled through a seven inch lcd touch screen. The upper level trims come equipped with a premium stereo system manufactured by B&W which provides up to 440 watts of crystal clear sound. All trims include a dual zone climate control system, keyless ignition, work with Bluetooth devices, comfortable and roomy seats produced out of fine leather and a navigation system with up to date traffic and weather updates. JaguarSense allows you to activate the cabin lights by simply moving your hands near the vicinity of the lights. There is plenty of storage room with a trunk space measuring an impressive 17.7 cubic feet.

What you see outside is definitely not true inside the XF. The exterior is a lot ore buff but inside, you may be surprised with the luxury of space that you will enjoy. The seats are not as bulky as you might expect and this offers an impression of more air and space. However, this is a good thing, especially with all the things that this car packs in. Expect wood and aluminum alloy on the inner sides, a lowered dashboard, a rotary gear selector in the center and a starter button that flashes upon entering the car. As a standard, consumers get cruise control, heated seats and satellite navigation! That leaves room for the imagination as far as add-ons are concerned.
