This compact CUV which competes in a crowded segment that includes the Ford Escape, Toyota RAV4 and Honda CR/V can boast about something that none of the other models can claim: best in class fuel economy.

If you don't believe in second chances, take a look at the new Chevrolet Equinox. While the first one was fine, this latest version is much more so. It's also much more challenging to the rest of the very competitive compact crossover class, including Toyota's RAV4 and Honda's CR-V.
