Did you know that the Lexus was mass-produced by Toyota, the Japanese Motor Company that makes Corollas and Highlanders? Well they do and they come in second only to Ford Motor Company's Escape Hybrid vehicle. The Lexus RX 400h Hybrid is the Lexus 350 with a newly designed electric motor. It has also been labeled as the very first luxury hybrid car in the world. That's not saying that it was the first hybrid, just the first luxury hybrid. Lexus' have a reputation of being affordable luxury cars and their SUVs do not slack in that department either.
The 2010 Lexus RX350 Liter V6 engine is very similar to that found in the 2009 model, but improvements made to the exhaust and intake systems as well as minor changes to the cylinder heads have provided 5 extra horsepower and 6 extra pound-feet of torque. The five-speed automatic that was used in virtually all of the previous RX models has now been replaced and the 2010 Lexus RX350 boasts a six-speed automatic. One of the major benefits of the new changes that have been made is more power, and yet a better fuel economy is actually delivered as well.
